Minutes
Present: Jeremy Hall, Shawn Mullen, Deb Mckinney, Sheryl Dougherty, Tim Adams, Dan Roy, Jessica Rurka, Courtney Hyte
Call to Order: Deb Mckinney called the meeting to order.
Approval of the minutes of the June 5th, Regular Meeting: Tim Adams and Sheryl Dougherty motioned to approve the minutes. All approved.
Audience of Citizens: None
Communications
- Public Act No. 18-167: Jeremy Hall and Shawn Mullen discussed the impact of this ruling for facilities that Parks and Recreation oversees. A copy of the ruling was handed out to all board members.
Unfinished Business
- Seamster Park Playground Fundraising opportunities/update:
Jeremy Hall updated the board on the status of the project. We are currently unable to move forward with a build date due to the lack of a town budget.
The grant for the project has been awarded and work will begin soon on the new portion of the trail from Alden’s Crossing to the RT. 66 tunnel.
Shawn Mullen gave a wrap-up of summer programming and discussed the upcoming fall programs and special events.
New Business
Jeremy Hall is working with the board of education on field maintenance policies and fee structures for the future. Repairs have recently been completed on the Baseball Field, Softball field and Tennis Courts at the High School. Parks and Recreation is experiencing a lack of man power to keep up with all of the required maintenance and an ever growing list of responsibilities.

- Budget Update: Jeremy Hall gave a report on the status of the Town Budget.
